Age: Puppies 8 – 16 weeks
Course length: Once a week for 6 weeks
This class is designed to provide essential socialization with people, other puppies, novel objects, and new spaces. We will discuss normal puppy behavior such as mouthing, chewing, and house training. We will also introduce basic learning theory to owners so that they can effectively troubleshoot behavior concerns beyond the end of the class. We will focus on helping dogs learn the skillset to relax in new spaces, offer their owners attention, and the beginnings of a few basic manners. Each week, we will reserve a few minutes to discuss common behavior concerns and how to approach them with positive reinforcement-based training and effective management.
